Thanks to some help from a few awesome ladies, our How-To writing unit was a smashing success!
We kicked off the unit with a whole-class experiment: "How to Make Kool-Aid." I made the drink in front of the class to point out the importance of being specific and detailed. This idea was a spin off of First Grader At Last!'s How to Make Lemonade anchor chart. Thanks, Mrs. Cooley!
The kids got a kick out of this one from Lesson Plan SOS! "How to Blow a Bubble" ...complete with bubble gum and a balloon craftivity!
...And, "How to Make S'Mores" from Saylor's Log (adapted from Primary Perspective's reading unit). Yum!
Thanks for making learning so much fun in my classroom, ladies! Couldn't do it without you!
